INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHOR SCOPE OF THE JOURNAL International Journal of chemical and pharmaceutical sciences is a quarterly published online journal. The aim of the journal is to increase the impact of research both in academic and industry, with strong emphasis on quality and originality. International journal of chemical and pharmaceutical sciences publishes Original Research Articles, Short Communications and Review Articles in all aspects of pharmaceutical sciences. The current emphasis of the journal includes (but is not limited to) the following areas: Pharmaceutical technology, Drug delivery systems, Pharmaceutical and computational chemistry, Molecular drug design, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical analysis, Pharmacy practice, Pharmacognosy, Bioinformatics, Pharmaceutical care, Pharmaceutical biosciences. GENERAL The International Journal of chemical and pharmaceutical sciences accepts original and innovative submissions in English on the understanding that the work is unpublished and is not being considered for publication elsewhere. Manuscripts will be reviewed by members of the editorial board, whose opinions will form the basis for the final decision by the editor. SUBMISSION OF MANUSCRIPTS All submitted manuscripts should contain original work neither published previously nor under consideration for publication elsewhere. Articles shall be accepted from any country provided that it is submitted in English language only. Authors, in their cover note to Editor, shall have to clearly mention whether the manuscript is to be considered as a Research article, Short communications or a Review article. Research and review articles should be within 10 to 20 pages and short communications to be 3 to 6 pages. However authors must strive to present their results as clearly and concisely as possible. The international journal of chemical and pharmaceutical sciences prefers to receive all manuscript submissions electronically. To submit a manuscript by online, email to editor@ijcps.com. Author copyrights agreement must be submitted along with submission of the manuscript in IJCPS. Manuscripts shall go through a review process to adjudge their suitability and authenticity, for publication in the journal. A confirmation about the acceptance of the manuscript will be sent to e-mail address of the corresponding author. PREPARATION OF MANUSCRIPT Manuscripts should be submitted as per order: Title Page, name of author (s), Abstract, Key words, Introduction, Material and Methods, Results and Discussion ( Result and Discussion sections should be combined) (Figures and tables), conclusion, Acknowledgements (if necessary) and References. All the manuscripts must be submitted in MS word format using times New Roman font with font size as 12 (main headings are bold and capital; sub headings are bold and normal) and single spacing. Both the main and subheadings are consecutively numbered except the abstract and keywords(1, 1.1, 1.1.2, etc.,). All the pages should be numbered consecutively in the lower right corner. The manuscripts must include in the following order: Title All manuscripts should start with a title page. Title of the manuscripts is followed by the names of authors and initials of all authors. The author to whom correspondence should be addressed must be indicated by an asterisk. The complete address of the authors should be written. (Including phone numbers and email address) Abstract All the manuscripts should include an abstract. The structured abstract should not be more than 250 words. The abstract should state briefly the purpose of the research, the method used, results and conclusions. References should be avoided. Present tense should be used throughout the abstract. Keywords All the manuscripts should include keywords. Keywords reflecting the major features of the work should be inserted but not more than six. These keywords will be used for indexing purposes. Introduction Every paper must have a concise introduction explaining the state of the art of the topic described and starting clearly what is new in the paper now submitted. Materials and methods Provide concise but complete information about the material and the analytical, statistical and experimental procedures used. This part should be as clear as possible to enable other scientists to repeat the research presented. Results and Discussion In this part, the same data/ information given in a table must not be repeated in a figure, or vice versa. It is not acceptable to repeat extensively the numerals from tables into text and give lengthy and unnecessary explanations of the Tables and Figures. This part must be written with reference to the tables and figures and by considering information from the literature. Statements made in the Introduction and Results sections should not be repeated here. The results and their wider implications should be fully discussed. Tables Tables can be presented orderly with accord to the procedure followed. It should be brief but complete and self-explanatory caption so that the reader can easily understand the results presented in the table. Tables should be numbered in order consecutively. Please do not duplicate the material that is already presented in the figures. (Tables should be formatted with horizontal lines only, vertical rules lines are not required) Figures Photos or drawings must have good quality. Legends of figures should be brief, but complete and self-explanatory so that the reader can easily understand the results presented in the figure. Figures should be numbered with Roman Numericals. Please do not duplicate the material that is already presented in the tables. Conclusions This section concisely summarizes the principal conclusions of the work and highlights the wider implications. This section should not merely duplicate the abstract. Acknowledgements If necessary, a brief Acknowledgements section may be included. References References should be cited in the text in Arabic Numericals in superscript. The references should be cited at the end of the manuscript in the order of their appearance in the text. 1) For citation of references with three or more authors, only the first author’s name followed by et al., should be used. 2) The name of the reference journal or books to be bolded 3) The order to be followed...author,title,journal name,published year,chapter,and finally the reference page. References to journal articles, books, chapters in books, etc. should be cited, as follows: Journal Articles Vyas SP, Rawat M and Rawat A. On acceptance of the manuscript corresponding author will have to pay Rs. 1500 /- (one thousand and five hundred rupees only for Indian authors) and $ 100 (one hundred us dollar only for foreign authors), as publication charge.
